Kerf
Locks are short plastic horseshoes shaped components, which
are designed to simplify knife insertion, to lock and hold short
knives, and to enable simple and easy removal of the knife.
To use Kerf Locks, the dieboard is prepared with rectangular
cavities cut in the position short knives are to be inserted.
See illustration 1. Kerf locks are inserted into the dieboard
at these points, see illustration 2, and then the knives are
inserted into the dieboard. See illustration 3.
